Palm oil messages

In the UK and Netherlands, we stabilise our peanut butter so that the oils do not separate. To stabilise we use sustainable palm oil. To find out more about our position on palm oil, you can read more on our website.

Whilst we also offer peanut butters that haven’t been stabilised, as members of the roundtable for Sustainable Palm Oil, we should not imply in communications that ‘no palm oil’ or boycotting palm oil is better for the planet.

DO

  1. Communicate ‘palm oil free’ factually i.e. front of pack, advert call out
  2. Talk about being ‘palm oil free’ in the context of nothing added (no added sugar or palm oil / palm oil free)
  3. Talk about simplicity of ingredients – Just 99%/100% peanuts

DON’T

  1. State or infer that palm oil free or boycotting palm oil is good for the earth
  2. State or infer that being palm oil free makes the product better e.g. tastier
